Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there!
I spent a little time working on my Zender wing yesterday & today. First I went down to my friend & co-conspirator Bob's place. Bob cleaned up all the mounting points, drilled them out (they were ALL buggered!) and tapped them to accept M7 bolts (which turn out to be almost unobtainium). Bob then came up with a crafty way to make templated to mount the wing to the trunk, drilled the holes, and on she went!!
Here's a couple of shots of the unfinished wing installed on Siobhan.
...and a view from the cockpit...
Pulled the wing off the car this morning, finished sanding the wing and set to work on her...
Laid down a red high build primer coat...
Wet sand, rinse, another high build primer coat, wet sand, etc, etc...
Then after 4 rounds of that, it was time to lay down some white primer...
I've wet-sanded that, and there's a second coat of white primer on there now. It was starting to sprinkle a bit, so that's it for painting for the day :/
I started installing the G-Force harnesses while I was waiting for the primer to dry...
More soon!Originally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.

Haven't updated in awhile. Just a few little pics to bring the project up to date...
The Zender wing in painted & done (except for some nicer mounting hardware I want to pick up.
Gave the Gurney flap a little splash of color
And I mounted up the rest of the G Force harnesses.
Next up is a front splitter...Originally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.

Thanks dude! Still need to fab up a front splitter for her & fix the driver-side rear-quarter damage. Other than that it's new Hawk HT-10 pads & Wilwood rotors up front, and she's ready to track again next year!Originally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.

sweet! Saw you picked up the Renown steering wheel - let me know if you have any questions when you get it - not sure if the package will come with everything it originally did when I sent it out. renownusa@Gmail.com - thanks!91 DS S52 Slicktop, 91 Calypso M42, 89 Royalblau M20, 84 Bahama Beige 323i, M535, Euro e24, ap1
